What This Is About:
This is a reggaeton-focused marketing campaign that connects music promotion with event culture, specifically targeting international and Latin student communities in Nottingham through live events, social media, and brand activations. My mixtape blends upbeat reggaeton and Latin trap with themes of freedom, nightlife, and new beginnings, inspired by the artist LEÏTI, who inspires me since we both have similar backgrounds and bilingual capabilities as well as the need to push boundaries within music genres— and I’m using my event brand, Santa Loca, as the main stage for promoting it.
Marketing Strategies
1. Artist Collaborations
I will perform alongside other Latin or UK-based urban artists at selected events.
Performing with others exposes me to their audiences and builds credibility in the local scene.
For example, at one Santa Loca party, I might perform a song with a guest artist from London or Spain, filmed for TikTok and Reels.
Timeline: Starting June 2025, every 4–6 weeks, where event opportunities align
2. Content Marketing
I will post short, engaging videos on Instagram and TikTok to show my music, behind-the-scenes moments, and performance clips
These platforms are how my audience discovers music and artists, especially in the reggaeton and urban Latin scenes.
For example, a video of me rehearsing a song in the studio or crowd reactions during a Santa Loca set.
Timeline: Ongoing, 3–5 posts per week starting June 2025
3. Influencer & DJ Outreach
I’ll contact DJs and content creators who can promote my songs, either by mixing them live or using them in their videos
DJs and influencers help music go viral, especially when people hear it at parties or see it in dance trends online.
For example, a DJ at an NTU or local Latin party that isn’t my party plays one of my tracks during peak time. An influencer creates a dance challenge to a chorus from the mixtape.
Timeline: Contacting DJs and influencers begins mid-May 2025 and continues throughout summer
4. Live Engagements (Santa Loca Events)
I will use my event brand, Santa Loca, to showcase my music through live surprise sets and curated experiences
It lets me test my music directly with my target audience—people who already love Latin rhythms and nightlife.
For example, at the Santa Loca event on the 31st of May, I will perform 2–3 songs unexpectedly to hype the crowd and create memorable moments that get filmed and shared.
Timeline: Starting May 31, 2025 (Tropicalia) and continuing with every Santa Loca event
5. Paid Ads (Instagram & TikTok)
I’ll run targeted video ads that appear in the feeds of people who like Latin music, nightlife, and university events in the UK.
Ads help reach new people who haven’t been to Santa Loca or heard my music before.
An example would be a 15-second TikTok clip showing party scenes from Santa Loca with my song playing in the background.
Timeline: First ad campaign launches mid-July 2025 when the mixtape drops
Customer Engagement Plan
1. Live Mini Sets at Santa Loca Events
I’ll perform short 2–3 song sets as a surprise act during each Santa Loca party.
It creates a strong emotional connection and makes attendees feel like they’re part of something exclusive.
The goal is to make people remember the music and share it on social media.
Timeline: Starting May 31, 2025, at every event going forward
2. TikTok Dance Trends with Fans
I’ll encourage partygoers and followers to create short dances using specific hooks or beats from my songs
Reggaeton culture is strongly tied to dance. Trends increase visibility and create viral potential.
I will post the best videos on my profile and offer rewards like free entry or merch for the best submissions.
Timeline: First trend launches mid-June 2025, tied to the most danceable track
3. Exclusive Merch & Reward Giveaways
At each event, I’ll give away a piece of merch (Santa Loca / DI5PAR1TY / New Horizon T-shirts, bandanas, etc.) or prizes to those who share, tag, or engage
People love free and limited-edition items, especially when tied to the music and party experience.
An example would be “Tag @santalocaevents and @gaaabrawww while dancing to the song—win a custom tee or bottle.”
Timeline: First merch drops at Tropicalia – May 31, 2025; then monthly drops
